Ashley is a corporate entrepreneur and activist. Having obtained an Actuarial Science degree and an MBA, she started her career as an underwriter but later pivoted towards corporate strategy, business development, project management, and entrepreneurship. Currently, she is the Chief of Staff at SOCAR Malaysia. Ashley received the Marie Claire Amazing Women 2018 Award for successfully building a startup whilst climbing the corporate ladder and for her contribution as an activist in the area of women and youth empowerment.
She founded The Real Planner, a social innovation firm and productivity consultancy in July 2016, and currently serves as a Board of Advisor at Lean InMalaysia and President of Emerging Leaders Asia. Being a Type A go-getter and hustler, Ashley explores new things daily and aims to unleash everyone’s true potential. Apart from being aTedX speaker and self-care advocate, she is also a fitness and health enthusiast, where she recently became a spin cycle fitness instructor at Flycycle.
She hopes to empower more people to be unapologetically ambitious and to be the best version of themselves.
Born and raised in the UK, Craig moved to Australia in 2009. There he started his recruitment career and then moved to Singapore in 2012. He's been here since and focused his career on headhunting and regional executive search for the Asia tech industry. Outside of his professional life he loves to travel, cycle, participate in triathlon events and raise his two beautiful daughters.
Veronika Durgin spent over two decades working with data. She is very passionate about data architecture and data engineering. Veronika believes that stereotypes and negativity should not prevent anyone from following their dreams. She is very excited to share her passion for data with the next generation.
Brown Ofonime is a software developer and a technology diversity specialist that writes about technology lifestyles. She is a member ofthe Women in Linux Foundation Community’ platform on slack, a GlobalAmbassador for Women Tech Network and a chapter lead for She Code Africain Abuja, Nigeria. As a Tech specialist, her work includes improving new and existing computer-based technology systems and solutions to the TechWomen Network globally, mentors the next generation on softwaredevelopment and STEM and is recently mentoring for the collaborative venture between Andela and Microsoft. She also loves speaking at Tech conferences.
Carolina Castro is a community builder and strategist, creative entrepreneur, and angel investor. It is her mission is to make the world more equitable, inclusive, and kinder. After spending a decade producing global marketing campaigns and community programming for nonprofits, Carolina began her own practice to work with organizations/brands to produce content and experiences that catalyzes DE&I and community efforts in tech. She is a Google Women Techmakers Ambassador.
